1,520 Smiles—and a Hunger for More

1,520. That is the number of local children who received toys this Christmas because of your generosity to the RMA Make Christmas Special Toy Appeal. Thank you so much for your prayers, your time, and your donations. But something unexpected happened. Beyond the toys, we saw a remarkable ‘spiritual hunger.’ Families weren’t just asking for gifts; they were asking for Bibles.

The Vision: Easter Blessings 2026

We believe we are currently riding a wave of spiritual momentum. To honour the “spiritual hunger” we encountered, we are launching the Redditch Mission Area Easter Blessings project.
We can once again use the “Pop-Up” unit in the Kingfisher Centre for March. Our vision is simple but bold: We want to gift every visiting family a brand-new Bible paired with a high-quality Easter Egg, have an Easter themed children’s activity and space for prayer and meaningful conversations.

How You Can Participate

To make this vision a reality, we are asking for support in several ways:

  1. Donations of New Bibles: We are seeking donations of new Children’s, Youth, and Adult Bibles.
  2. Easter Egg Collections: We are looking for donations of Easter eggs to pair with the Bibles.
  3. Volunteer Mobilisation: We need a diverse rota of volunteers to staff the unit, offering a warm, compassionate “incarnational presence” in the town centre. Between 10am and 4pm on Thursday 26th through to Saturday 28th of March, our prayer is to have every church in the RMA represented. If just one person from each of our twelve churches could give just one hour to walk with our visitors, we could make a massive impact. We’re looking for someone to simply be a presence in the shop—to walk alongside our visitors.

Call To Action

You don’t need to be an expert; you just need to be a friendly, compassionate presence to walk alongside people in the shop. If you can give us sixty minutes of your time, or if you can help with a donation get in touch with our Church and Mission Support Coordinator.
