St Laurence Church, Alvechurch

Who are we?

St Laurence Church is a welcoming and active community, characterised by a mixed demographic of ages, including children and young people who attend regularly. Our parish, while geographically large, is known for its warmth, welcome and cakes and its beautiful, historic church building.

Worship and Community Life

We currently hold two acts of worship on Sunday mornings:

  • 9:15 am Service: Family Worship with
  • Ark Time (Sunday School)
  • 11:15 am Service: A traditional service.

In addition, we offer a monthly BCP (Book of Common Prayer) Holy Communion.

We have introduced a New Worshipping Community by adapting one our 9.15am worship to a Café Style Worship. This is very
new and we hope to encourage new families from our Tots and Toddlers group and the wider community.
We hold a mid-week Toddler Worship once per month and 50- 60 tots and toddlers attend plus their accompanying adults.
