Bags of Hope

๐Ÿ“š๐ŸŽ’ Bags of HOPE ๐ŸŽ’๐Ÿ“š

On 22 August, weโ€™re launching Bags of Hope at the RMA Mission Hub 6 New Walk Kingfisher Centre.

Bags of Hope is an opportunity for every church to join with others across the Redditch Mission Area in serving local families. Together, while remaining true to our own traditions and communities, we can make a lasting difference to children across the town who need our support most.

When one part of our community is facing hardship, the whole church has an opportunity to respond. Through donating time, products or funds to create Bags of Hope, our churches are working together so that children across Redditch can begin the new school year with dignity, confidence and hope.

Every backpack or bag will be filled with practical essentials that the child will choose according to their needs plus a message of hope and encouragement, bibles and Christian reading material, because every child deserves to begin the new school year believing in themselves.

There will be activities for families, a prayer tree of hope, signposts to our churches and chances for those significant conversations.

Weโ€™re looking for donations of:

โœ Pens & pencils

๐Ÿ“’ Exercise books

๐ŸŽจ Colouring pencils and pencil cases

๐Ÿ“ Maths sets

๐Ÿ– Stationery

๐ŸŽ’ New backpacks

Refillable water bottles & lunch boxes

And especiallyย  can you spare an hour to volunteer in the mission hub on Saturday 22nd August between 10 am to 4 pm

Together, letโ€™s help local children start the school year with confidence. This initiative has been supported by the WM Racial Justice Initiative, helping us to ensure every child feels valued and loved.

Because hope belongs in every backpack.
