Paul Lawlor

Mission Area Leader

Paul, having served in Redditch since 2011, brings extensive experience and leadership to the Redditch Mission Area, encouraging collaboration and fostering a spirit of unity and shared purpose. Prior to ordination he worked as a Technical Director of an engineering software company and was part of the leadership team of a church plant.

As Area Dean of Redditch and Bromsgrove, he provides leadership and support to the clergy and churches in the region. Paul has pastoral responsibility for St John’s Greenlands. Paul is the Chair of Trustees of the RMA.

Alix Stockwell

Operations Manager

We are delighted to announce that Alix will be starting as our Operations Manager as of 1st December 2025. Alix has broad operations experience with charities working across the UK. She has a passion for seeing God at work in the world.

As Operations Manager Alix will be working alongside us to discover how be we Equip, Enable and Support the local churches, releasing them to be the places God is calling them to be be. Alix worships at Christ Church Matchborough.

Elaine Whitfield

Church and Mission Support Coordinator & PA to the Mission Area Leader/Area Dean (Trustee)

Elaine brings extensive experience in administration, media, event management, community engagement and more. Her diverse skill set makes her an asset to our team.  

A catalyst for mission and outreach and PA to the Mission Area Leader,  she works with a hands-on approach to implement projects and support local church initiatives, making her a key part of the outward-facing team focused on delivery and engagement.  Elaine worships at St John’s Greenlands. 

Elaine is passionately committed to supporting and walking alongside our Mission Area churches, aiding our communities to see more people coming into a living relationship with the living God.

The Trustees

Revd Gail Rogers

Vicar of Alvechurch and Beoley

Revd Gail Rogers provides intentional, mission-driven leadership for the two distinct parishes of Alvechurch and Beoley, leading the work at the north of the Mission Area.  

She champions deep community outreach, focusing on fostering unique local missional identities in both churches.  

Gail is passionate about connecting with the local community and provides strategic oversight for the development of new family ministry in the Beoley District. 

Revd Glenn Reading

Vicar in the Christ the King Benefice

Revd Glenn Reading serves four churches in the south of the Mission Area, bridging the unique dynamics of rural and more urban settings.  

As an RMA Trustee, Glenn plays a vital role in ensuring robust governance and strategic cohesion across all twelve churches and  strengthens our team by integrating a vital understanding of the Anglo-Catholic tradition into our collective work. 

Damian Herbert

Diocesan Transformation Programme Director

Damian brings invaluable expertise in parish growth and renewal, cultivated through a career dedicated to developing new expressions of church.

His background includes initiating new worshipping communities and serving as a Growing Younger Facilitator for the Diocese of Birmingham, helping churches effectively reach children and families.

In his current role as Diocesan Transformation Programme Director, Damian leverages this depth of experience to strategically guide over 100 parishes, developing pathways for organisational health, sustained growth, and successful mission across the diocese.

Revd Dick Johnson

Work Place Chaplain with Faith at Work and the Police and Fire Service

Revd Dick Johnson holds the crucial role of Lead Trustee on Safeguarding for the Redditch Mission Area, ensuring the highest standards of ethical governance and care across all parishes.  

His extensive operational experience is drawn from many years of service as a Workplace Chaplain; he has led Faith at Work in Worcestershire and serves as the lead chaplain for West Mercia Police and Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service.  

Dick’s background leading a smaller charity that links with churches further strengthens the RMA’s strategic and ethical oversight. 

We also enjoy diocesan support from Ven. Archdeacon of Dudley and others from within the transformation team of the Diocese and beyond.
