Linked Hands
Specific Aims
Double the number of children and young people worshipping in our churches by unifying our work.
Create 100 new worshipping communities offering a range of ways for people to come to faith and worship God. (eg Forest Church / Café Church / Walking Church).
Invest in the renewal of around a dozen churches to ensure that each major area of population has at least one church with 150 people attending weekly, enabling them to support other local churches. St Stephen’s in Redditch is such a renewal.
We Underpin these aims by Equipping our clergy and lay leaders, providing training and development opportunities to enable them to grow and feel supported and equipped for mission.

What we do

The mission area will support the 12 parish churches of our area to be able to express what God is calling them to be and do.

We pray that our local churches will demonstrate the breadth of worship in the Church of England; a variety of worship held together by a shared faith in God, Father Son and Holy Spirit.

This all comes from the biblical imperatives expressed in 1 Corinthians 12 and Ephesians 4. read more

Our hope is that blessed and directed by God’s Holy Spirit we can live out our calling to facilitate, enable and share in God’s Mission Across Greater Redditch.

Facilitate

Providing practical centrally facilitated support to churches in areas such as:

Buildings / Facilities Management
Finance
Governance
Compliance

Enable

Aiding churches in discovering their local missional identity and providing practical support in developing this.

Helping us all to live out the diocesan aims

Enabling local churches by providing support from centrally resourced workers in specialist areas.

Share

Bringing people together from across Redditch to work in areas of Mission which cover the whole of our Area and are better done collectively.

A simple example could be providing a single point of contact for funeral directors. Also, connecting churches with similar theologies to enable them to work together where appropriate, for example, running courses.
